Configure Bing maps for your coordinate system
To configure Bing maps for your projection, go to DataManager and click the Create Dataset button (the plus icon in the top left in the Map Dataset tab). Enter a name, type in your EPSG code and pick Terrain/Imagery. Then hit Next.
Next, pick the Bing DTM and the Bing imagery layer that you want. You can choose from aerial, or aerial with labels, or the map version of Bing maps.
The next screen lets you sets the rendering order if you choose to include multiple sources. Since we’re only adding Bing DTM and Imagery, we can just hit Next.
On the next screen, you can choose to constrain the area of Bing maps to a subset. Enter the coordinates in the SRS you’re configuring for or leave empty to get a default bounding box.
That’s it! Now you can use your Dataset in the editor by picking it from Map Datasets. Rembember to configure the LOD Window setting to control the quality.
